I thought I'd take a minute to talk about the fortunate things in my life. For one, I had lunch with an old friend who is in the middle of his student teaching at the same high school where I do my teaching scholar program. He pays the same tuition and room and board fees as every other student, plus a $275 fee for his student teaching. He spends 5 days a week there from 7:30 AM until after band practice, games, or whenever they're done, and some Saturday competitions. He gets paid nothing. With my program, I go one day a week for about 2 1/2 hours (supposed to be 4, but isn't yet), I get paid $2000 a year, and I have the possibility of being reimbursed for miles. Yup, it's unfair, and I love it. Being the lucky one is great.
In other fortunate news, Victoria's Secret went crazy recently and sent out tons of mailings for a pair of FREE PANTIES and $5 off a bra. Ahh, nothing like a pair of $12 underwear and a $32 bra all together for $28.50...I love this streak of luck thing! It's the most comforatable bra I've ever worn too!
And the ultimate: my little is now a full sister of Alpha Gamma Delta! Congratulations Kuties!!! Welcome to AGD!!!!
