Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear blo - og, happy birthday to you!!!!
My blog is one year old tomorrow! Awww, isn't it cute? *gutchie gutchie goo* (At least we're not in the terrible two's yet)
I'm going to Buckhannon for the weekend. Nick's going to be a cook afterall, but he doesn't start until Monday. That means I'll have him all to myself for the whole weekend. There's nothing really to do in Buckhannon, but I'm sure we'll think of something. It sure beats camping with my family all to death, too. They're going to Lake Watoga with my mother's sisters, an event that promises to be a mess in the making. They don't talk to each other much lately, due to some imagined grudge. I don't really understand why they're all going camping together to start with, as we don't see them more than twice a year lately. They're so weird.
I went to the ATM on my lunch break, and I scraped my mirror up on it. That infuriates me, because I can never get close enough to the thing, then when I try, *bang* goes my mirror. I want a fold down mirror like Tiff's. *pout* So I have money for a while. One fourth of it goes to my credit card, and with about half of it, I may buy Nick a big present in partial repayment for the car he gave me. I think we may go ahead and get the $200 Lego Mindstorms set, but he's afraid he'll feel guilty, so I might be giving him cash for bills. We'll see, because I have a feeling he'll regret it more if he doesn't get the Legos. That boy has a wish list like none I've ever seen. Everytime I talk to him, he has to have something else, and most of them are expensive things. He wants Euro-taillights for the Neon, a PDA, a GPS unit for the PDA or for his laptop, a digital camera, racing stripes on the Neon, and the aforementioned Legos. He wanted, but hasn't thought about for a while, a leather jacket and several other things too. If he ever sees a sale or an ad for anything he's ever wanted, his want is renewed. It's difficult, since he ususally wants nice stuff that I would definitely like too... Man, I am poor.

Wow, you can actually view the pictures Nick, Tiff, and I took at TOOT over a year ago. Exciting stuff, huh? I had them in my website directory this whole time, just not linked to anything. They join the Alpha Gamma Delta Pictures in the Content page to the left.
Nick's taking a job in Buckhannon (as a bartender I think). This is good and bad news. He hasn't had a job since he went to the one his dad hooked up and found out he was to work four 12 hour nights a week in a factory and quit. So it's good that he'll have money now. He was at home in Plainfield Illinois too, which is 11 hours away, while Buckhannon is only 2 1/2 hours away, so he's closer now. Another plus. The pay in WV is half what he could have been making in Illinois though, and since he's in foodservice, he won't have weekends off anymore. That means he can't come see me at all. I'll have to come to him, stay at his grandparents while he's at work for hours on end, and only see him between like 11 am and 5 pm or so. It just seems so sad.... I guess he can make yummy drinks for me now whenever I want though. I could always just go over to the bar and sit around all night too. Maybe he'd give me free drinks.... Hey, this isn't as bad as I thought ;)

I forgot to mention that I made a new link button for the site *hint hint*

I also made a new Egyptian favicon, but you'll have to bookmark me to see that ;-)
Oh, my goodness! I just found a site that cracked me up for over an hour. Chimptopia.com has a section called "ask Chimpuat and Chris Rock Jesus" that is gold. I mean, just try to imagine Chris Rock as the Son of God, then imagine him giving advice on relationships. That is some messed up stuff. Ah, me *tears of laughter roll down my face.* Check out his wife Jessmonkey too.
In other news, I saw Scooby Doo last night. It was family night, the worst and best time to go to the movies. We'll start with best - you can see the movie for matinee prices at the regular time - very nice. Worst - two "family" movies were on at our giant two screen theater, so the entire place was filled with kids between 3 and 9 years old. Luckily, Scooby Doo has been out for a while, so it wasn't too crowded, although I did have to park way around back of Kmart. Anyway, the movie was funny, if a bit unplausible, but that's to be expected. There were tons of drug innuendos that turn out to be "innocent" and even a bad word or two (oh my!) The basic premise was this: the gang is known as Mystery Inc, and well known as detectives. Inner squabbles from Fred, Velma, and Daphne as to who does what break the group up. A couple of years later, they all receive invitations to solve a mystery at a popular college student spring break location. They each independently accept and meet up at the airport. The newly reunited Mystery Inc gets on the trail, and much fun is had by all. Kinda kooky, but it is based on a cartoon. You actually see Velma without a turtleneck in one scene too. Definitely worth checking out if you're a fan of the series.

Whoohoo another update. I'm on a roll lately. As you may notice (if you came by in the week since I put up a new layout) there is a new section to the site: the much anticipated content! I always claimed that my blog and it's archives were the only content I needed, but that was only because I had nothing better to put up here. Now, I do. It's just pictures now, but will hopefully be something more in the future. Please comment on what you think.
I went to the dentist yesterday. Summers are full of keeping appointments that cannot be made during the school year. People at work must think I'm a hypochondriac or something as often as I have to take off to see doctors. This visit wasn't too bad, just a routine cleaning and x-ray. Dentists never really bothered me that much, but on the first week of this blog, I wrote a lovely long blog about the incompetent hygienist who cleaned my teeth last summer. It's a good read, I'd click on the archives above and check it out if I were you.

Candice's wedding went very well. They had the reception at the church, though, so we had to wait forever just to blow bubbles at them as they left. I cried during the ceremony, which was great, considering that I was up in front of everyone as a bridesmaid. Her friend Rebecca, who did an excellent job on my hair, turns out to be the sister of my sister's boyfriend. Go figure. I could have had that hairstyle forever, and not just because of the 4 cans or so of hairspray she emptied on it. I absolutely loved it. Maybe I really am a glamour girl at heart. If only I could stop eating off all of my nail polish...
Tiff, Angela, Nick, and I went to see Minority Report last night. It was pretty good, but what is wrong with Steven Speilberg lately? This movie had some very strong echos of AI, with it's futuristic cars and houses, and depressing views of the future of humanity. I'm not entirely sure that when Stanley Kubrick died while the two were working together on AI that he didn't just haunt Speilberg to this day. Perhaps he has his eyes....

PlusMoutarde is proud to unveil ANUBIS - PlusMoutarde goes ancient Egypt! There are still some bugs, as I'm sure some of you can point out in 0.382 seconds, such as the fact that my links won't all cooperate with the stylesheet. I really can't figure that one out. If you can find a fix for me, I would be greatly appreciative (ie, personal favors, cash gifts, and/or a button link will be awarded...) *wink wink*

Everyone is telling me ghost stories lately, from Tiff to Nick. Frankly, I'm finding it a little difficult to keep my mind off of them when I'm going to sleep. They aren't the usual easily dismissed creaky house sounds or anything, but real, this actually happened to people I know and there is no explanation, type of stuff. Freak-kay, if you ask me.
My sister's running a VBS at our church to get her GS gold award, and I got roped into doing the crafts with my mother. Let me tell you, that's a fun way to spend three hours every evening for a week. Our publicity didn't work out so well, so there aren't very many kids there. My sister is a little reserved in speaking too, which isn't a real winner with young kids. They tend to like excitement. So anyway, that's were I'll be all week after work, except for Friday. That's Candice's rehearsal dinner, for which I am granted a reprieve. Since I'm actually in the wedding, I guess I'd better find some time this week to wrestle my hairy legs and make some presentable eyebrows. I wouldn't want to spoil her wedding pictures by looking like a Wooky ;-)

Oh, Lordy be... I was so violently ill with a hangover yesterday. I will have to think eight times over again whether or not to allow myself more than three drinks in one evening. Past three drinks, more just seem to come to me until I've had waay too many. I've never had a hangover before. It was the worst feeling on earth. The upside to the weekend was of course the evening before the hangover, which all in all was a pretty good time. I'll give you a few highlights you may have missed. 1) A stunning rendition of the SpongeBob Squarepants theme song by Tiff and I. 2) Me gracefully ripping the control rod off of Candice's vertical blinds and subsequently collapsing to the floor in laughter as I waved the aforementioned rod around like a sword. 3) An in-depth discussion of the funny things Teresa (myself) has ever said while sleeping. This tangent was led soley by Amanda, and included the winning all-time favorite: Teresa gets one inch from your face in the middle of the night and softly says to you "poop." 4) Tiff and I trying to sneak up on people while so drunk we can't stop giggling. 5) An interesting walk down down Green Acres Lane when it was in the 40's but we couldn't feel a thing. And now, number 6: Teresa vomits (10 hours after her last drink) over Candice's front railing. Oh, this makes me feel ill again... Congratulations, Candice, have a happy marriage and let's not buy so much alcohol ever again!

Yesterday, Jen, Tiffany, and I went to an adult bookstore in Beaver (waits for laughter to subside). We were looking for gifts for our friend Candice's bachelorette party, but the place sucked. I may have to make a trip to Beckley in the morning or something to pick something up at Spencer's. It should be an interesting party. Since we've all been away at college and have only seen each other while at home visiting parents, we've never had the opportunity to drink together, even though we've been friends forever. Candice, being almost the youngest of the group, won't even truly be legal until 3 days after her wedding.
I'm so very glad it's Friday. The work days feel like they're getting longer and longer as the week progresses. Plus, it's my first payday, even though all the money is already owed to my credit card. *shrug* Nothing special there, I had no income for a month and a half due to the special paying practice of the WVDOT paying two weeks behind. I guess I'll just continue to use my credit card while I have no money for another two weeks and pay it off again. Speaking of money, BB&T sucks as a bank. I won't go into the specifics, but just take your business elsewhere and spare yourself the anguish. That is all for now, have a lovely weekend and try not to get as trashed as we probably will at Candice's.

My order has finally shipped from Victoria's Secret. Now I just have to wait for their incredibly slow and incompetent shipping to get it here. They never did reply to my lovely email demanding that they somehow rectify the unnecessarily long wait I had to endure. I'm still totally bitter, if you hadn't noticed, but I'm relieved that I will actually get the order now.
I hate coming home for summer for the sole reason that I always gain weight. I'm about 10 pounds heavier already and it's killing me. Things must change or I'm going to have to wear like a XXXL when I go back to school in the fall. If only it didn't cost billions of dollars to join a gym and buy low-fat food...
Also, lately I've rediscovered my addiction for freebies. I'm like a soccer mom or something, searching the internet with a rabidly glossy eye for any free junk I can sign up for. Samples of shampoo, pain killers, tampons, tire gloss, and even biblical prints are now in processing to be sent to my house, along with coupons for countless products. Why? I guess I really like getting mail. I legitimately use the things I receive too. Sometimes I even do end up buying that product, so I really don't rip off all those companies by stealing their freebies. So there. They all get me back by spamming me 50+ times a day into infinity though. Nothing is truly free *philosophically*

VictoriasSecret.com is really making me mad. I got their email about the semi-annual sale and decided to check out what they had. There were some really good deals, so I placed an order. I was somewhat miffed because the page stated that I should accept my order in 7 to 10 days, an eternity if you ask me. It also stated that an email would be sent when my order shipped, and that my credit card would not be charged until the order shipped. Ha. The entire order was charged to my credit card on Saturday, the day after the order was placed. Today is Friday, one week after the order, and I have yet to receive shipping confirmation. The website says my order is "In Process". I have written them a very nice email to which noone has yet responded. I really hate it when stuff like this happens. I had expected to receive the order today as stated by their slow-ass shipping page. GGGGRRRRRR!!!!!!!

i thought I had destroyed my computer for sure this morning, but a call to IBM helped me realize that I'm just stupid, and so is the school helpdesk. I already knew that, but it was nice to have that reinforced for me. The school has a lame offering of nearly 20 majors!!! Wowee folks, watch out: they've just announced the addition of a criminal justice major. Our president speculates that it could be useful in the court system and corrections. Let me tell you, that sounds just awesome. 'Hey, what's your major?' 'Oh, I'm studying to be a prison guard at good ole' Wesleyan.'

I've just spent over 3 hours customizing a guestbook! I can be so dull sometimes. If things don't look exactly how I want them to, I get quite upset and won't upload the page I'm working on. It's looking pretty good now, only a few minor bugs to be worked out. I just uploaded a new favicon too. It's sort of a hint to the layout I'm working on. If you want to see it, you're going to have to bookmark me, then look at my listing on your favorites list. There's a chance it might show up in the address bar at the top of your screen, so check there first. Later all!
The garage that "fixed" my car didn't do such a good job -- it's louder than ever. I'm going back Wednesday evening to yell at them and make them fix it. Incompetent people make me mad. Our deck is about half finished. The floor part is now built; we just have to put in the posts, railings, and steps. A nice path and some landscaping should finish it right up. I think we need a gas grill, but my sister argues with me. I know my dad would complain that it didn't taste the same as charcoal, but I would buy him some mesquite wood chunks and hopefully he would get over it. Gas grills are so much easier to use.
Nick is coming to take me to lunch :-) He's a sweetie. He has to leave tomorrow morning to go back to Chicago for work. If he could find a decent paying job around here, I'm sure he'd stay, but he just can't pass up the $11.50 an hour he'll be making there. I know it's a lot of money, and he desperately needs it to pay his bills, but it makes me sad. He'll be back to visit several times though. I can't wait!
