Yeah, so I've forgotten to post for a few days. I'm lazy and slow like that. Well, I got my car, but it still doesn't have an inspection sticker on it. My exhaust pipe is broken, so my sister is meeting me at a garage friday evening to fix that and get it inspected. Oh, my license plate holder (mentioned in the previous post) cannot be used, because it covers up the year and half of the state name. *grumble grumble* I guess I'll have to put it on the front with some random plate whenever I find one.

My family is getting a deck. This is amazing news, because my dad doesn't usually do things like this. The main reason, besides the fact that my mom has wanted one for years, is that my dad is crazy stupid sometimes. We had this really big, nice shade tree in our backyard, and one day, dad decided it had to go. Why, you ask? Well, he was convinced (or he lied to my mom, whichever works) that it was going to fall on our house. Now the tree had been there for a long time, but I saw no flaws that could possibly lead to it falling on our house. Anyway, my mom managed to defend the tree for a few months, until my dad just snapped and went and cut the whole thing down. As he was cutting, my mom informed him that if he was going to cut down her tree, he'd better be willing to build her a deck. By some twist of fate, he's actually going to do that. She's still really mad, because now every evening when we eat dinner, the evening sun pours through the window and onto her. She tries to move so that it hits my dad, but his chair is slightly out of it's path. It's humorous.

Well, I'm off to sunny Buck for the weekend. I'll be picking up my car (yay!) which I was finally able to register today. It will be soooo nice to finally have my own transportation. I cannot even imagine it. It's not as if I lead such an exciting life that I'm always borrowing my parents car or anything, but the possibilities are there now. I hope the thing keeps running long enough for me to get some use out of it. I already have my Alpha Gamma Delta license plate holder ready to put on it. Watch out roads, here I come...

ahhh!!!! now i'm sick!!! what a week. it's just a head cold/sinusy type of thing, but still. anyway, i won't promise anything, but i've thinking about the look of things around here, and my page is waaaay overdue for a makeover. plus, i still have tons of bugs from the switchover to the dotcom. i was so busy when i bought the site that i didn't have time to do anything but dump all the old files in and run back to class. cross your fingers for me that i get jatalk working again. it's being a real pain. ta ta for now!

back at work again. same place, slightly different boss. well, i still have that boss, but now another under him. government work, go figure. anyway, it's just as boring as i'd remembered.

yesterday was a bad day. i started work, and we've already gone over how much i love that, then i left early to go to a doctor's appointment. before we went, my mother wanted to stop at kroger for milk. guess who i saw there? everyone's least favorite ex-boyfriend booby. *shudder*. i also stopped at the dmv and received the bad news that the title to the car i'm supposed to be getting isn't mine. it needs the signature of nick's father, who's in chicago. they also informed me that without a notarized bill of sale, i will have to pay tax on the blue book value of the car. this sucks so much more because the car is free (i'm just going to give nick about $250 later this summer for it). so i won't be driving it next week, as i had expected. the doctor's appointment wasn't too bad, but not high on my list of fun times. *le sigh*

i hope this week gets better.

home again, home again... it's so good to not feel rushed every second of the day. it is kinda boring, but that's to be expected after the semester i've had. i just need to wind down and relax for a while. i haven't heard about work yet, which concerns me. i hope i get a chance to make some money this summer, because i need money very much. i might be getting a car too - nick's old one. hopefully, i won't be stuck at home all summer! it's about time i had a car. i'm 21 years old now, after all. yay!

AAAAHHHH!!!!! finally, i've finished my exams. it's a nice accomplished feeling. do you realize how early it is in the year still? on the way to my exams this morning i was freezing my butt off. it's the first of may for goodness sakes. did they do this in order to completely confused the poop out of me? i feel like just a few weeks ago i started pledging AGD, now i'm a sister, and the year's over. crazy crazy. i have to find a storage unit and pack all my crap too. that's the not so fun part. but i'm being an usher for graduation, so i'll be here until sunday. plenty of time to pack right? i sure hope so...
